Mr. Cassin’s practice is focused on Immigration Law and within Immigration law he primarily focuses on difficult cases that require heightened levels of attention and care. He has successfully handled cases that were referred to him after those cases had been denied or encountered resistance when handled elsewhere. Mr. Cassin’s diligence in ensuring that all the pertinent evidence reaches the Government, together with detailed legal and factual explanations of the case, have resulted in successful outcomes for his clients even after they were denied elsewhere. Mr. Cassin’s international background has exposed him to many foreign languages and cultures. He is fluent in French and Hebrew, and is able to handle relatively complex communications in Spanish, Arabic and Yiddish. He also speaks basic Russian. Mr. Cassin is admitted to practice law in Washington DC, and legally entitled to represent clients before the United States Immigration Authorities anywhere in the United States. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the author of a legal research article regarding the handling of Apostasy cases in the United States Asylum system. Mr. Cassin is an Honors Graduate of the George Washington University Law School. He was an Associate with a prestigious DC Immigration Firm where he specialized in difficult Immigration cases of all categories. Prior to launching his Immigration Law career, Mr. Cassin worked at the United Nations as an International Human Rights Negotiator in Geneva, Switzerland. His work with the United Nations put him in direct contact with International Immigration Law issues such as refugee and asylum law, the rights of migrant workers, and the citizenship laws of various countries and their effect on statelessness.
