Tony Mensah is an expert in areas of development and legal management for businesses. He primarily works with start up and small to mid size businesses, although he has also served as outside counsel on contracts matters for several Fortune 500 firms, including Hilton Hotels Corporation. Mr. Mensah has drafted, reviewed and litigated hundreds of contracts relating to numerous issues. He is also the architect in development of the law firm of Mensah & Dzubow.
As a civil litigator Mr. Mensah is at his best and this is the strength of his legal practice. Many of his clients are involved in local litigation and they have found his counsel invaluable. With every client Mr. Mensah takes a detailed approach to learning all aspects of the claims and / or defenses necessary to plead or defend their case. Mr. Mensah believes there is no substitute for understanding the details, even the smallest details, and his commitment to taking every effort to outwork his opposition has been the key to his success. He also insists on active involvement from his client’s to ensure that they know how their case is progressing.
Tony Mensah is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and New York. Mr. Mensah is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Bar Association for the District of Columbia, and the Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. He received his Juris Doctor from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. He received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science / Pre-Law from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, an Honors University in Maryland.
Prior to forming Mensah Law Offices, the predecessor to Mensah & Dzubow, PLLC, Mr. Mensah worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the Corporate Affairs section. He also worked with focus organizations, such as Wall Street / Push to help developing companies with legal compliance and business development issues. Mr. Mensah also served as Vice President of Operations for Gold Coast Financial Corporation, a small financial and technology service company.
